Your MCS-150 biennial-update deadline isn't random, and it isn't our opinion. The FMCSA sets it from the digits of your own USDOT number — the same rule for every carrier in the country. We read those digits and apply the federal schedule. No account, no guessing, no sales call to see your date.
Under the FMCSA biennial-update rule (49 CFR 390.19T(b)), every entity with a USDOT number must update its MCS-150 registration every 24 months, on a schedule fixed by two digits of the number itself:
Because the update repeats every 24 months, once you know your month and your odd/even year, the deadline is predictable on a two-year cycle.
Say your USDOT number is 1234567. The last digit is 7 → your month is July. The second-to-last digit is 6 → even → you update in even years. So this carrier's MCS-150 update is due by the end of July in even years (July 2026, July 2028, …).
